Our dental clinic is open and you can read our COVID-safe procedures here.
We have unfortunately had to temporarily stop our beauty treatments in line with Government regulations. All existing appointments will be rescheduled.
Fantastic experience. Staff were very attentive and made sure my whole experience from start to finish was as pleasant as possible.
An inlay fits inside the tooth like a conventional filling whereas an onlay is generally larger and can cover the corners of a tooth as well as filling its centre.
Inlays and onlays are constructed in the laboratory from a dental scan. It is this detail that ensures perfect contact with the surface of the tooth when its fitted. Onlays are usually constructed from porcelain that has been colour selected to match the natural colour of your teeth.
If you have a damaged tooth, a dental inlay or onlay might be the right treatment for you.
These robust dental repairs can mend cavities in places where conventional fillings would not be ideal. Both inlays and onlays are stronger than regular fillings.
An initial radiograph and examination plus two appointments, two weeks apart, are usually required for the placement of inlays or onlays.
At your first appointment your dentist will remove old filling material and reshape the tooth. A scan will be taken, and you will be provided with a temporary filling whilst your porcelain restoration is being made.
At the second appointment the temporary restoration will be removed and your onlay or inlay bonded in place.
The cost of an inlay is from £900 depending on the complexity and material chosen.
